Reservation Policy:
Pioneered at Uno’s Pizzeria, Chicago-style pizza was created in the windy city in 1943. Over time it branched out into the greater city through expansion and local rivals like Gino’s and Malnati’s, and later on throughout the United States as it developed into an original American pizza.
Chicago-style pizza is clearly different from typical pizza by its thickness and appearance. It is baked in a special pan and, at first glance, it most resembles a pie or quiche. It is also kind of ‘upside down’ compared to usual pizza.
In the DC kitchens, we place a generous layer of 3 types of cheese on the bottom (just over the dough), add plenty of delicious “toppings” in the middle (so are they “middlings”?) and layer our delicious original tomato marinara sauce on top. Then we add even more mouthwatering toppings. Unlike classic pizza, DC’s Chicago-style pizza is hearty enough to be considered a meal unto itself.
With nearly a decade of experience and thousands of satisfied customers served at our 4 Tokyo locations, DevilCraft is committed to introducing our original take on authentic Chicago-style pizza to diners here in Japan. We were the first authentic and original Chicago-style pizza restaurant in Japan and we strive every day to be the best for you with every pizza we make and bake.
We founded DevilCraft in Kanda in 2011 to spread the gospel of great craft beer. Over DC’s first 4 years, we served premium-quality guest craft beer along with our famous Chicago-style pizza in the first 2 locations. In the fall of 2015, we received our eagerly-awaited brewing license and began the next chapter in the DC story, brewing our original DevilCraft beer! These days, as we open our 4th DC pub location, we still brew our DC craft beer in small batches several days per week at our Tokyo brewery . We are continuously striving to hone our brewing skills and we spare no expense or effort to express the full flavor and potential of our creations. We favor traditional methods and ingredients, and our beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized to maintain maximum flavor. And we also make forays into newer, more adventurous styles using seasonal fruits and other tasty, unusual ingredients to add unique character to a number of our brews.
